For more than two decades, Potterman Hollow has built homes and structures that look as inevitable in their landscape ten and twenty years on as the day they were raised.

Approach · 03

A well-crafted timber element adds warmth, character, and an undeniable link to the natural marvel that is a tree.

As wood ages and weathers, good craftsmanship endures. We design, fabricate, and install a full range of pieces — from structural trusses in your great room to a welcoming front entry, to gable brackets that lend a home its natural authority.

We consult on style, species, joinery, and the integration of materials like steel and stone. We work alongside your designer or engineer — or provide those services as part of our package.

Process · 04

From conversation to raised timber.

— Four phases

i.

Conversation

We begin by walking the site, listening to what you want the place to feel like, and learning how you'll use it across seasons.

ii.

Drawings

Our team produces detailed shop drawings — joinery, brackets, structural connections — refined in close collaboration with your architect.

iii.

Fabrication

Pieces are cut, joined, and finished in our Idaho Falls shop. We hand-select species, source reclaimed timbers, and integrate steel and stone.

iv.

Raising

We deliver and assemble on site. For pergola kits, the same care goes into work shipped anywhere in the country.
